The Art of Becoming Conscious: Conscious-‘nize’.
Becoming Conscious
Some will state that the act, or action, of becoming conscious is simply to become aware. And to some extent, this is true.
But the act of becoming truly conscious, particularly over an extended period of time (perceived time, imagined time, or relative time), is much more complicated.
It is relatively easy to take a moment, pause, breathe in deeply, and become consciously aware of what’s physically around you (mindfulness).
It is possible to awake early each morning and go to your favorite spot in the house, sit down, cross your legs, out stretch your arms and hands, and began to contemplate (meditation). Becoming consciously aware of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions.
It is even possible to go into a praying posture, prayer space, or prayer room and give your spirit and soul to God. Allowing yourself to become aware of the Spirit of God, God’s essence, or God’s presence in your life (prayer-meditation).
But how do we become truly conscious? How do you begin to live a life of consciousness? How do we truly awaken ourselves for longer portions of our spiritual beingness? How can we tap into the ever-present Source, the Universal Oneness of God?
